LRLS: Dec 2016 [I Kissed a Girl – Katy Perry]

Hello December my old friend. I’ve made it – WE’VE made it! Another 12 songs have been added into the Lounge-Room Lounge Series and I’m stoked about it.

This latest month has included a lot of preparation for the Voiceworks end of year show (Voiceworks = the choir that I love playing for). It’s been a great challenge – we’re performing the show (“Sparkle and Shine”) on 2nd and 3rd of December. *Spoiler alert*: I just might have a sneaky little solo thrown in too. This will be great – details at – I can’t wait!

In other news, I recently met a lady walking her pet pig down by the river. I never thought the sight of a domesticated pig being walked – on a lead – in a picturesque (and nice) part of the city – would make me so so SO happy! #PigsAreBiggerThanYouThink

I love doing songs that have been written to always be performed by a female. I try not to change many lyrics when I do them either – which usually makes you think about things in a slightly different way. “I kissed a girl” is a perfect example of one of those songs – I hope it brings everyone else as much joy as it brings me.

I’ll see you all in the new year – enjoy!
